Go Do Good: DailyFeats Tries to ‘Fix the World’ One Person at a Time

While meandering through the SXSW tradeshow I ran across a very interesting company: DailyFeats.

DailyFeats has lofty goals. It’s a platform where you, and your social network, share and earn rewards for positive actions (i.e. your feats).

The organization strives to connect their members with:

            - Actions that help you live a better and more positively. 

            - Support from other people pursuing the same goals.

            - Points and rewards that help keep you motivated.

Now gaming mechanics are hardly new. But, it’s the first time I’ve seen an organization apply such a broad gaming layer to self and world improvement.

And I like it.

The world is full of people and organizations that use gaming mechanics to break/disrupt the world, it’s nice to see companies like DailyFeats try to fix it.
